2019 Bears’ Lair Entrepreneurial Competition Official Launch

Peterborough’s leading pitch competition is back! The Bears’ Lair Steering Committee invites you to the official launch of the 2019 Bears’ Lair Entrepreneurial Competition on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the VentureNorth Lobby at 10:00 a.m.

Bears’ Lair is an annual competition for up-and-coming entrepreneurs in Peterborough and the Kawarthas. Six finalists are selected to pitch their business to a panel of judges and the local community for a chance to win big cash.

The launch will provide an overview of the 2019 competition details, including how entrepreneurs can apply, key dates taking place throughout the competition, and the cash prize.

Community Futures Peterborough

The Innovation Cluster helps innovative start-ups shape the future. The Innovation Cluster brings together talent, knowledge and investment; partners with academia and industry; and provides support to start-up technology companies and entrepreneurs to help take innovative ideas and processes to market with a specific focus on digital, clean tech, agriculture tech, healthcare and youth entrepreneurship. The Peterborough Region Angel Network
The Peterborough Region Angel Network is a privately-driven initiative that brings together individual investors from the area. These investors combine their wealth of knowledge and experience to collaborate and invest in early stage growth companies. Particular areas of focus for investment are green technology and life-science. Members seek involvement in challenging business situations and assist client and community success.

Mega Experience
Mega Experience is a full-service marketing agency specializing in brand experience, offering everything from website design and development, advertising, public relations and social media services. Mega Experience opened in Peterborough in 2015 by Catia Skinner, owner and Strategic Planning Director, and has grown their number of local and international clients.
